What is an ISP

ISP is an acronym for Internet Service Provider.
Any company that sells Internet connectivity is an ISP. Typical ISP products are dialup, ISDN and ADSL Internet access accounts. Other ISP services include email, web hosting, domain registration, etc.

Why would I want to be an ISP

To make money.
Called passive income, annuity income, or a revenue stream, the simple fact is that the products and services are subscription based. So you make a profit based on the total number of users you have, every month. On the down-side, as an ISP grows its user base, it has to expand its infrastructure, equipment, and staffing to match. Resulting in expanding income, but expanding overheads too.
